Research & Initiatives
Sustainable, safe, and resilient building and infrastructure systems are highly demanded to address various challenges (e.g., habitat destruction, resource depletion, adverse hazards) imposed on environment, economy and society. Precision lifecycle system modeling and smart decision-making methods assume an essential role in the success of engineering sustainability, safety, and resilience. We concentrate on computational lifecycle system modeling and advanced numerical analysis to furnish accurate information and tools for the development of sustainable, safe, and resilient built systems through designing, new construction and retrofitting. Diverse advanced quantitative techniques, e.g., big data, stochastic modeling, machine learning, and state-of-the-art tools, e.g., unmanned aerial vehicle, infrared technology, smart sensors, and building information modeling, are utilized.
